Interacting with Augmented Reality

While researching various forms of interactive comics, I came across 'Masters of the Sun' - an interactive comic that implements multimedia assets using augmented reality.

It allows users to experience sound and animated visuals within a comic narrative. I attempted to recreate this by making a simple app using Unity, but this proved too time intensive so I looked for faster alternatives. Fortunately, Artivive offered a free, quick solution. Using Artivive I managed to add interactivity into an already interactive comic and visual novel in the form of animations.

I later learned that the recognition software that Artivive uses has its limitations and that copying and pasting images can trick it into thinking its the same image (this is the case with the Sloth ending in the final version).
